eCountability provides biodiversity data search services in Greater London, Birmingham and the Black Country in partnership with the Local Environmental Records Centres (LERCs): Greenspace Information for Greater London CIC (GiGL) and EcoRecord. The LERCs have worked closely with species recorders, local groups and planning authorities for over twenty years to build strong spatial databases of sites, species, wildlife corridors and other biodiversity features.
The partnership between eCountability and LERCs allows for fast, focused delivery of data searches in easily accessible reports, allowing users to deploy their resources effectively in assessment of planned developments and other projects.
eCountability’s tools and services provide the following key features:
- Identification of site-specific biodiversity-related information to support the planning, development and site maintenance processes;
- Scope and content of reports agreed with local planning authorities, suitable for use in the planning application process;
- Visualisation and presentation of information in easily accessible reports;
- Rapid report delivery to enable advisers to make fast, informed assessments for clients
